Kathleen Peterson McConnell AKA my mom!

I love my mom more than anyone. Yes, at times she drives me crazy, but I know it is just because she loves me so much and wants what is best for me. All growing up she has been my hero. She constantly puts more effort and time into everyone else's needs before her own. Raising five crazy kids can not be easy, but I think she had done a pretty swell job at it! Some of my favorite memories with her are:

• Going up into her room and laying on her bed watching people pass by and talking for hours.
• Our Disneyland games...

• Singing horribly "I love to see the temple" on our way to soccer every time we passed the SD temple.
• Getting her sweet letter my last year being a YCL at girls camp.
• The way I could always hear her voice as I played soccer and lacrosse. Her voice can travel!!!!
• How every time we made cookies we always ate spoonfuls of dough.
• Watching SYTYCD and Gilmore Girls with her was a must and something I always treasure!
• The way she always winks at me and I know she is telling me "I love you".
• Reading our Halloween Books especially her favorites.
• Coming home from school and almost always seeing her smiling face as soon as I walked through the doors!
• Saying mom is smells in here and trying to protect her for her health.
• The way she always came to my YW, sports, or anything recognition nights because she wanted to support me even though we all knew she would get sick for days after.

There is so much more, but as my computer is about to die on me I will leave the list at that! I love my mom and pray for her every day! She is my hero and I am so grateful for her wonderful spirit and how she has blessed my life!
