Prom 2009

Yes I know crazy how Prom is not tell May and it seems like that is all that my school is talking about... or at least my group. So last week my best friend Heather was asked to Prom and all she could say was that my turn was next. However, I didn't want her to tell someone to ask me because I think that is very lame! Then on Friday I found out from another one of my friends that this guy named Josh was going to ask me to prom and that I thought this was all Heathers doing because they are in the same ward. It turned out however that she had nothing to deal with it and Josh deiced to ask me without Heather even mentioning or saying anything to him. He was very cute too how he asked me. Last night he made cupcakes and this morning brought them to me in seminary and said that I was so "sweet". He then asked me and he even wrote "will you go to prom with me?" on the cupcakes. I thought it was very cute and he did a great job. Brett says he was really nervous because he went into his class before to see where I was. =) I am excited though because he is a great guy. So now I have to go find a dress.... GREAT! 

I love my niece!!

So on Saturday I was at my lacrosse scrimmage and after I turned on my phone as I always do... and Jeff sent me a text saying "We are in the hospital"! I have never been so excited to hear that someone was in the hospital. All day my whole family was jumping for joy and couldn't wait to drive up to Newport to see our new niece/granddaughter. As soon as Jeff gave us the okay to come we left. Mom was so excited she couldn't wait to go see the baby, so we had Taco Bell on the way up! 

Gabby-Kate was born on March 14th at 5:30pm! I even guessed the day she was going to be born in December! It was so exciting to actually be able to see and hold her! I have never held a new born before so this experiance was amazing for me! She is so adorable and so perfect! I love her already! 

Bruised rib thank goodness not broken!!!

This is a funny story... Okay so this Sunday Brett and I were messing around throwing pillows at each other (well more like he was throwing them at me) in the family room. After he ran out neither one of us picked them up afterwards. So we had a bunch of pillows on the ground and later that night I decide to step on one to move over the the couch. Not a smart idea! Under the pillow was a magazine so I ended up flying in the air because I slipped on the pillow. When I was falling the first thing to make contact was my rib to our table! It was the funniest thing and I started laughing while everyone else in my family was freaking out because of how hard I hit the table. Then a few seconds after I started to feel the pain and it hurt really bad. It still was hurting today so my mom and I went to go get x-rays. (I don't register pain well so when I feel pain it usually means something really bad). Lucky for me however I didn't break any of my ribs I just have a really bad bruise that isn't showing on the outside of my body!!! I am so happy but it still hurts like crazy and I can't really play lacrosse until it stops hurting. I am just thankful that I didn't break it because there would have gone my whole lacrosse season!
