Prom 2009

Okay so better late then never right... =) Here is my wonderful prom experience for all of those who haven't heard about the fun stories yet.
The day started out with cleaning of course since it was Saturday and I was trying to get it done well so that I could leave to Prom without worrying about my mom throwing a fit. However it took me all day pretty much! Ugh anyways after I did my chores I went to Sister Henry's house to pick up my dress (she made it modest for me!) and it turned out beautiful. She made a straps and a jacket to help fix my sleeveless dress. After that I went and had my nails done and they turned out beautiful! My mom did my hair and I must say I am so blessed she knows how to give me a perfect hair-do for ever formal event I go to. I loved it! She also did my make up for me and I can't thank her enough! She turned me into a real princess that night. =)
After I was all ready I headed over to a friends house where I meet Josh, my date and my amazing boyfriend. There we did the trade off for the flowers and meet with Heather, my best friend, and her date. Then it was off into the car to travel to Poway park to meet with the rest of the group. This park is absolutely beautiful and I loved taking literally hundreds of pictures there. Our group ended up being about 16 people which I enjoyed because it was nice to have all of my friends in the same group! It was also very fun to have a date this year that I was dating because last year I didn't know the guy until I meet him at pictures! AHHH Anyways we ended up getting lots of cute shots!
After pictures we went to dinner at the nice restaurant in Del Mar. However, Heather, her date, Josh, and I had a little adventure getting stuck in the elevator going up from the parking garage up to the restaurant! I thought it was so funny because those types of things you only see on TV and here we were in real life stuck in an elevator!!! We were only stuck for about 15 minutes but I could not stop laughing! Dinner was great. We had a salad and pasta yummy!
The dance was also very fun. It was at the Hall of Champions in Balboa Park and the DJ was pretty good. They had a poker table set up and we played with fake money that later we could exchange for raffle tickets. The dance floor was huge and they also had a couple of spots where you could actually look at the past Padre and Charger museum stuff. I loved dancing with Josh and we actually decided to randomly start swing dancing to one of the song! It was really fun.
Once the dance was over we went over to Kelsey's house, one my friends in our group. Her mom made so much food for us to eat and we were able to just hang out. They had the Wii set up, a pool table, and a bunch of cards games that we were able to play with. Over all it was a blast and I loved it 10 times better than last years prom. Also yes I did get a couple of kisses that night (probably one of my moms favorites things and also the first question she asked me when I woke up the next morning haha). I LOVED EVER MINUTE OF PROM!!!!
